How can I help my endo belly?

I've been incredibly bloated for the last few days and just can't seem to shift it, despite lots of heat and some gentle exercise.

Normally my bloat only lasts for a day at a time but, this time around, it seems a lot more persistent.

Any tips?

Hi I have found that sticking to a certain diet seems to help, no fatty foods and eating little and often. This helps me when I don’t have a period. When I do then nothing takes the bloating away.

I also take water retention tablets and I have to say they are amazing - totally changed my body shape as I was holding onto a lot of water and hardly ever peeing x

Bendroflumethiazide tablets.

They belong to a group of medicines called thiazide diuretics (water tablets). They may be used to: reduce fluid retention (oedema) particularly in the heart, kidneys, liver or that caused by medication, by increasing the flow of urine. reduce high blood pressure alone or with other medication.

You can only get them on prescription however they work wonders.

Hope you feel better soon x

Hi! I have had the same for the past few weeks (I had a laparoscopy in September) so I was really hoping I would not have any more bloating by now as they were able to remove all the endo they found. I saw my gynaecologist last Wednesday and it turns out I now have a massive 10cm ovarian cyst which is not endo but is a consequence of the Mirena coil. The doctor said the cyst could be causing the bloating by pressing against the bowel/etc. so my advice would be to get checked in case you have a cyst or anything of the kind. Best wishes!

Hi, I was recommended the Mirena. by Gynae . I was meant to be having op for cyst I have. Instead they told me to try coil instead. Has it helped you in any way? How did you get the cyst from coil- I was told it would prevent this stuff? I really don’t feel the coil is right for me.

I am bloated nearly everyday because of endo. I started taking primrose oil tablets and my bloating really decreased. Primrose oil is also good for endo. I haven’t taken my oil tablets for a week purely because I forgot now I’m bloated again so I’ll deffo be back on them.
