Zoladex and Femoston-conti

I have had non stop bleeding whilst on zoladex and Tibolone for 3 months. My doctor has now swapped Tibolone to Femoston-conti but reading up on it says DO NOT take if you have undiagnosed vaginal bleeding ... which I have! It also says DO NOT take if you have thickening of the womb lining which I don’t know if I have. The info says this tablet is for those who have not had a period in 12 months, so not sure why I’ve been prescribed it. Has anyone else had zoladex and Femoston-conti?

I have had lots of bleeding between periods prior to zoladex just now it is everyday. I was just confused why they would give something which shouldn’t be taken with undiagnosed bleeding when my issue is undiagnosed bleeding 😂

Hi.. I'm sorry this brings confusion and raises alot of questions which you do not have the answers to.

I've been on Zoladex 3 days before month end of August (10.8g) which was to keep my period away for like a period of 3 months. They prescribed Kliogest for me as Add Back Therapy to protect my bones too and keep away side effects of Zoladex such as hot flushes... Apparently I had my period the second month it was very painful and lasted for longer than my normal period would do..When my Kliogest got finished ,my Dr said I should stop it because I've had unexplained Chest pains and my Pulse Rate has Always been over 110..I don't feel ok most of the time I even get nausea , no appetite and the hot flushes are very bad I don't know what to do now

Sorry to hear that Lioness36. You should ask your doctor about swapping to Tibolone, I have been on it for 3 months now and apart from the bleeding it has been absolutely fine for me. It’s tricky with hormones to find exactly the right balance for your body. I find straight after my zoladex I get very bad hot flushes, I had my fourth injection yesterday and the hot flushes last night were so so bad.

I'll definitely enquire to see if they cannot swap....And to find out what can be used as add back therapy to stop the hot flushes hey...it's showing me the most and it just doesn't feel like a normal lifestyle for me...

I really hope that you can get relief for the bleeding, I haven't seen it this month as well

Joke of the week: doctor says she knows absolutely what my diagnosis is and to take the tablets. Funny that when she hasn’t even investigated my problems AT ALL and even in her most recent letter it says ‘endometriosis not confirmed’
