Morning, I'm a member of another group on Facebook and I'm amazed by how many women have posted saying that zoladex has NOT stopped their bleeding. I don't understand this so wondered if anyone else had the answer. I thought zoladex would shut down the ovaries and there would be no more flooding. Am I misunderstood? Do the fibroids then break down or the womb lining? Where is the blood coming from? I'm pinning all my hopes on zoladex giving me my life back as I can't do anything at the moment but many women are reporting that they still bleed every 14 days on it. I understand that it might take a few months to kick in but these women are 6 to 8 months in and still bleeding on a drug only given for 12 months! Does anyone have the answer? Or has anyone any experience of zoladex and bleeding - good or bad? Thanks everyone x

Zoladex information please
Hello
I was in zoladex for 15 months and then prostap for 4 months. For the last 7 months I only had 30 days of no bleeding, where it had stopped before. These were not continuous days, they were sporadic days here and there. I had a total hysterectomy and emergency colostomy bag fitted 5 weeks ago. My bowel was stuck to my womb and it was 50/50 I made it through the surgery. Not every treatment is right for everyone but it’s always worth a try, good luck
Hi I'm in prostrap, just had my fourth injection, I had bleeding for the first three and a half weeks. But nothing since. It has been brilliant as my bleeding was horrendous before. Hope you get things sorted out, sending you a big hug x🤗
hi I had zoladex for about 6 months prior to IVF and had a period almost a few days after the first injection (which was due anyway) but didn’t have any other bleeding during my time on it. X
