Hi I’m new to this group and not been officially diagnosed but wanted to check some symptoms with you if that’s ok. I have pain when going for a bowel movement when on my period and also am getting blood when going for a bowel movement (again whilst on my period) are these signs? Although my periods are getting lighter and not heavier! I have been to the doctors and haven checked for piles etc which can not be found and so have a hospital appointment later on for some investigation. Just wanted to know whether this sounds like any of your symptoms?

I also have these symptoms, I have had endometriosis in my bowel as well as having adenomyosis which causes pain when going to the toilet. Since having my lap and a mirena fitted, general period bleeding is much lighter, but on bad flare up days, or when going to the loo I still get bleeding. They weren't able to get all of the endo in my bowel, which is why, and also they might not have been able to find everything as it's a tricky thing to find. I would keep a pain/bleeding diary and also keep a note of whether it's related to any foods, as certain foods can cause endo flare ups. I would then take that your next consultation. Thanks do you have a lot of stringy red blood when you are on your period too? X
