Recently diagnosed with Endometriosis...need advice on severe bloating

Can some please help with how I can try to ease my bloating, spent the last month looking 7 months pregnant. Recently got diagnosed with suspected endometriosis and currently awaiting the referral to hospital, after months and months of going back and forth to the doctor with no success to a cause for my severe pain and vomiting. Now hopefully and finally getting somewhere, as long as the referral isn’t going to take too long (Aberdeen, Scotland) not sure how the hospitals are with the whole COVID-19 situation ongoing but I’m getting to the point where I can hardly get out of bed never mind do anything. The pain is one thing, but the bloating is so uncomfortable and is really starting to get me down. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

The only thing what stopped me bloating was the endometriosis diet

I have to eat well. I am vegan, generally avoid gluten, fried food and premade food. I am supposed to avoid caffeine too but I can't lol.

Hi, if you generally have a good diet, during a flare up try peppermint tea, it may ease the pain, it has for me a little bit. I get severe bloating where I can't fit into any of my clothes and can feel my skin stretching! X

After about a year on the endo diet, I veganised it with the help of a dietitian due to the odd flare ups and bloats, and haven't looked back since. Just need to take the right supplements (B12, calcium). Occasionally treating myself to something outside the endo diet, like fried foods, but the bloats are easier to manage. Am now able to drink proper cuppas at work and home, and enjoy a coffee every other day. I've also reintroduced foods that triggered my IBS, like mushroom and legumes. The downside is that it takes time to find something that suits you, but once you find it, it's great!

Ive literally tried everything over the counter and the only thing that helps is Peppermint oil capsules when I'm already bloated I wouldn't say it completely stops it but makes it less uncomfortable. I also narrowed it down bananas and avacado make my bloating really bad.

I changed my diet and have to be careful to what I eat after ovulation. I also have laxatives before my period. It reduces it but I still get some. I do have peppermint teas, etc too. If I eat lighter foods I have less issues. I do avoid legumes and when I have them I soak and sprout the beans and legumes before cooking. I also try to eat Elmore digestible foods, like mung beans and lentils instead of red kidney beans etc. I do soak and sprout quinoa as well. I have increased probiotics too. And I avoid too much fibres and fodmaps.

Hi. Due to no medical support following endo diagnosis 18 months ago, suffering from worsening IBS, pains, bloating to the point of considering food ad poison, I put myself on a diet free from : gluten, dairy, soya, chocolate (containing both milk and soya), caffeine, dry beans (gave me massive stomach cramps, lentils, brown rice (irritates the bowels), tomato purée, hot spices. Instead, I have gluten free pasta, bread, flour, cakes, potatoes, sweet potatoes, rice, quinoa, coconut, almond, oat milk, vegan chocolate, decaff coffee. I also supplement with magnesium glycenate, Vitamin D, iron. This anti inflammatory diet works for me and has reduced the severity of the flare up, I manage my IBS-D.

Hope you find what works for you.

Take care.
