Hello everyone I have serve endometriosis in my womb and bladder I have been dealing with for 7years so I am very use to every thing and understand it all.

But .....

For the past year after my last operation I have been having different pains!

Really sharp pain in my shoulder hurts more than my endo pain! Last 6 months it has progressed and I end up freezing I can’t move or talk it’s really weird. And then I get shooting pains up and down my arm. Last 3 months I have had tightest in my chest and trouble catching my breath. It’s that bad I can’t work hard a really bad 4weeks. I am now refereed back to my specialist.

Has anyone else had this and could it mean my endo has spread to my lungs.

Doctors have been putting it down to depression and anxiety but I have over come all of that now and now the pain is even worse so very confused worried and angry.

hey. Have you had your thyroid tested?

What you have described sounds horrific and scary. I’m so sorry you’re having to go through this.

A thyroid issue might not explain everything but it might explain some stuff.

And I’m really sorry your docs have been shit. I’ve had years of the same experiences and it drives me round the bend.

They never believe us theguardian.com/books/2019/...

Really sorry to read this after everything you’ve already been through, I’m just at the beginning of my pelvic problems, I’ve fibroid and cysts and I believe I’ve endo, daily pelvic pain etc. Just wanted to say I’ve been misdiagnosed so many times as anxiety with one thing or another, when actually there were severe (and in one case life threatening) physical health problems going on. It’s too easy for docs to assume anxiety. Did doc do the basics blood pressure, blood tests, temperature? ECG? And are you on any medication that might cause these new symptoms as side effects? X

Thank you no not on anything new. And I am off most meds just painkillers what I have been on constantly for 7yrs lol. I have been there aswell it’s disgusting over this last year I have been made out to look stupid and that I am going crazy thanks to the doctors. And yes done all routine tests everything is fine xx

I just think it gets to be an endless cycle with chronic pain, which does lead to anxiety (how can it not?) but her doesn’t mean the doctors should write off symptoms under the anxiety label. I have a terrible time with medication, I can only take tramadol for my pelvic pain because of stomach issues which mean I can’t take any anti inflammatories. So this weekend I’ve been wrecked with pelvic pain and had to take much more tramadol than I would normally, today I’ve woke up and pain isn’t there (yay!) but I’m sweating and edgy probably because my body is wanting the tramadol. I can’t win! Which is why I asked you about medication and side effects etc.

I was also suffering chest pain earlier in year til recently and to cut a long story short, after endoscopy, they found opsophogitus (explained chest pain) , stomach ulcers etc, probably caused by naproxen that I was taking for pelvic pain! So sometimes taking painkillers do more long term damage for short term pain. lol, this is my daily life at the moment, all while waiting for appointments to get to the root of problem. Really hope you can get sorted without the palaver I’ve been through xx

Thank you for your comment and sorry it’s taken me a while to reply. That actually really helps! Thank you I have had liver failure before because they over dosed me with to many paracetamol even tho I was only taking 6 a day because it was for 2hours constantly it had other effects, so this could be the answer to my other pain killers I have been on for 7yrs. Let’s hope it is because this is very easy to sort out and there’s an answer for it! Thank you for your advice and knowledge of this horrible thing we have to go through xx

Well just read through this thread and how things change in a few weeks! Since I replied to your post I’ve had a hospital stay and several revisits, been an absolute nightmare. They still haven’t got to cause of my pelvic pain despite every scan available, it’s gone from endo to kidney stones to now a femoral hernia, so now I’m off all painkillers and prescribed oromorph just to be able to do the everyday things 😡 are you feeling any better? I hope you are 👍🏻 this ongoing pain situation affects everting, not just our physical health x
