I have just come back from the doctors to discuss my follow up scan of my ovary. It has grown 1cm in 6weeks (gone from 2.4cm to 3.4cm) is that a lot?
Anyway I’ve been referred to a gynaecologist and in the meantime I have been put on the mini pill cerazette.
Has any one had any experience on this pill with an Endometrioma? Will it help stop the cyst from growing? I’m assuming it does as it doesn’t contain oestrogen which is what the cyst needs in order to grow?
I’m very fortunate in that I don’t have any painful symptoms so I’m just interested to know if this pill will actually help my cyst.
Thank you!

Cerazette does not contain any oestrogen, however the only progesterone-only pill proven to reduce cysts is Visanne. Cerazette has worked for some people, we are all different and this pill might or might nor work for you, so personally I'd give it a shot but prepare that it might not work. Cysts grow at different rates and once again, it varies for everyone.
Changes in dieting and lifestyle might help immensely too against endometriosis: make sure you get your vitamin D checked (blood work) and get supplements if needed, make sure you eat plenty of fresh veggies, fish, some free-range eggs and grass-fed meat as well as fruit, nuts, coconut and healthy grains -whole rice, quinoa. Keep is fresh, simple, varied, in-season and avoid anything fried, processed, refined carbs like bread, pizza, pasta, all dairy, alcohol and coffee). Antioxidants like NAC, pycnogenol, astaxanthin and supplements containing omega 3, magnesium, selenium, zinc, vitamin B and folate help immensely too.
