Bloating, back and leg pain. Is this normal?

So I’m due to have my laparoscopy in September after having severe endo that came back from me already having a survey, when I’m only 19. Whilst waiting for this surgery my pains are getting more and more worse each day, I find that my belly bloats up and I have severe back and leg pain, and when I stretch also I feel like I am pulling tissues inside my belly which that contract really bad pain. I just wondered if anyone else is suffering with these sorts of problems to as it hurts when I go to the toilet too! Xx

Hi I can relate I’ve gone through years of pain and symptoms and finally had endo removed in april this year, but I get really bad back ache and pains going down to my knee caps don’t know if you get this? It’s awful and like you have said I also stretch sometimes and it feels like I’m pulling on my ovaries so painful I know it sounds daft.

I sometimes have really bad flare ups when I go to the loo also xx

Yes! Everything you are describing! They are all common to Endo. I am sorry to hear that the lap did not resolve your situation. According to my doctor, this is an indication that they did not remove all of the Endo. Make sure your doctor is an Endo specialist surgeon, it is the only way to remove the Endo through surgery properly.

Hi hun,

So sorry you’re going through this.

Just to suggest, try taking out foods like bread and pasta and sugar and dairy, if you haven’t tried it yet.

I cut out bread and am no longer bloated :)

People often have allergies with endo as I think the immune system is lowered by it.

Today I corresponded with Mparstoy regarding having pelvic floor therapy, post op, as it can help with movement and healing.

Also I’ve found Neals Yard very helpful for homeopathic remedies that assist with all the symptoms, as a result feeling better at times than I have done for a couple of years.

Miso is very good for healing (they gave it to people after a nuclear blast, and those who took it recovered much better than those who didn’t). Cranberry juice can help a bit with peeing better (it hurts bad when I pee sometimes and there is no infection). Flax oil is very good for joints and has many benefits, I use it on salads. Turmeric is a powerful anti-inflammatory, fresh root/dried powder can be put in cooking or herbal tea bags.
