So 14 months ago I had surgery, excision surgery. Four hours in operation. Rectovaginal, rectal, on side walls, and pelvic floor they found ‘superficial ‘ endometriosis. Had my tubes from kidney to bladder ( forget their name) moved as they had endometriosis on/around them. My uterus was noted as ‘bulky’. The mri I had 4 months previous showed evidence of adenomyosis. I had my post op 4 months later and most of my pain had gone, apart from symptoms they put down to adenomyosis so we scheduled to have hysterectomy in March 19. I have had many operations for various things and never had a problem. This time I woke up in icu on breathing machine, I had a reaction to one of the meds and my heart pretty much stopped. So they didn’t do the op. I had to go through tests to find what I reacted too. After talking to consultant again this time 12 months post op (original diagnosis) my symptoms have become the worst they have ever been. My bowel does not work unless I use suppositories. I have constant pain in all my pelvic area, perineum pain, feeling of passing out or vomiting when I go to toilet. So she advised that things have progressed and I may need a bowel resection and possibly wake up with a stoma, colostomy bag. She even wanted me to see a nurse to prepare myself. I’m having surgery in 8 days and wondering if anyone has had a similar experience? Sorry for long post
