After some advice or even just someone else that's going through the same as me!
I've been in pain since march and 2 days ago got told I have endometriosis this has been a very long rocky road just getting to this point!
I'm being sent for surgery in September which I'm cool with this doesn't bother me however they have suggested I think about having the coil fitted to help with after or doing my pill 3 months back to back then having a break and so on just wanted to no what everyone else has done? And thoughts ect?
I'm only 26 and trying to get my head around it all!
Thanks!

Hey I’m currently going through pretty much the exact same thing I’ve had chronic pain since 11 years old and I was put on the pill to tri-cycle it, I might be different for you but it never helped with my pain. It would when I was on the pill but on the break I’d literally feel like I’d been ran over by a bus. I just got on with it as the gynaecologist didn’t want to do any tests with how young I was. Now I’m 23 and on the coil I’ve had no problems with it but it hasn’t helped my pain at all at least when I was on the pill I was getting a three month break whereas now I’m lucky if I get a week without pain.
I’m going in for a diagnostic laparoscopy in September also but I’m not sure what my treatment will be like after.
Everyone reacts differently to hormone treatment so hopefully you have a better experience than I did, I would say weigh out the pros and cons for yourself, things like will I remember to take the pill every day versus the coil is fitted and I don’t have to worry about it.
It is so confusing and will be trial and error process, if I were you I’d say try the pill first as I’ve heard from other women that if they have had problems with the coil the doctors were reluctant in taking it out. But at least with the pill you can decide whether you take it or not if it’s not agreeing with you.
Hopefully that helped a little bit but like I said it’s so difficult to say as everyone can react differently
Thank you for replying to me! I have been on the pill for 6 years however I take it as month on week off and so on.
This pain only came about in march I've never had issues before now!
I like my pill cos I no when I'm coming on and there is no random anything suppose with the coil I am out of control just didn't no about anyone elses experience with having one?
Yeah I definitely agree the pill was much more reliable for knowing my cycle where as now I literally what no clue even when I do try and track it. I would maybe just stick with the pill and tri-cycle it like the doctors are suggesting. At least then you will know your cycle and have control over it. Bare in mind when you do switch to this if is normal to have a bit of spotting nothing major just maybe a brown discharge for a day or two it just takes a little time for your body to adjust. X
