Dear all,

Asking how long recovery is? I have the chance to ahve operation next week. I am moving home on 6th september - thus about 3 1/2 weeks after op. To those who have had the operation, this is my first, would you have been ok moving home after that amount of time, or would you suggest to do the op after move of home?

Hey, congrats on the home move!

What are you having done during your lap? Recovery depends very much on what's being done, how invasive it is, your own healing time, activity levels before lap, so a lot is different for each woman.

Personally at 3 1/2 weeks after both my excision laps I would be fine apart from the unpacking and packing! I was back doing light exercise at 3 weeks.

It's not easy to rearrange your op so I'd suggest keeping it where it is and focus on listening to your body post op, resting but keeping active, that way you'll recover faster. You'll still have to go easy for the first month to 6 weeks as you'll still be healing inside.

Not what you're looking for?
