I was rushed into hospital for an emergency appendectomy; via laparoscopic incisions. Whilst the surgeons removed my appendix, they said they would look at everything. No sign of endometriosis, ovaries normal.
I’m thankful that they took the unfortunate opportunity to look for me but I’m now thinking, how can I have all the symptoms of endo and the mini pill works so well for me. Mind blown.
He did say he removed adhesions between my bowel - can this be endometriosis?

Adhesions stick organs together, although not endo itself it can be a sign of endo having been there or old endo, or surgery recovery where the body heals but not quite right. Biology is odd! So even though it's not endo it can produce the same symptoms as endo with how it affects the organs it's sticking together.
Hopefully you'll have some relief just by being lucky that they'd have a look at the same time as your emergency op. xx
It’s also worth noting that endometriosis can be very hard to find for surgeons that aren’t specialists. I would assume this was a general surgeon as they were doing an appendectomy so there are no guarantees that they had the expertise to be able to say with certainty that you don’t have endometriosis.
If you are already in the process of trying to get diagnosed with a specialist gynaecologist then I would recommend continuing down that route for the time being.
Having adhesions removed from your bowel should hopefully have some positive change for your symptoms though!
