Endo relief in this heat!

So usually when I start getting endo pains, I reach for my heat pad but as it’s been 30+ degrees today it’s been far too hot! I find that over the counter medication (paracetamol, ibuprofen, cocodamol and naproxen being amongst those I have tried) don’t actually help with the pain and I’m reluctant to take them regularly as otherwise I’ll just get used to them!

Any suggestions for pain relief in this hot weather? Thank you!

Try to stay away from cold food and water. It sounds odd I know, but I find it helps, the only relief I get is from my hot water bottle but since cutting out cold food and drink as in water straight out of the fridge the pain is a bit more manageable and haven’t needed my hot water bottle so much x

I really feel for you; I'm recovering from a laparoscopy, which I don't recommend in a heatwave! Stay hydrated, rest as much as possible. I find that when it's this hot, just placing my hands on the fabric over my stomach sometimes generates enough heat to relieve some pain. A warm bath might also help; sounds counter-intuitive but it's a good way to regulate your temperature, and you'll cool down afterwards!

This isn't relating to the heat (hang in there though because we're all melting!) however have you ever tried CBD oil? I know it can be considered quite controversial due to the whole cannabis thing however I've tried it a few times and it definitely eases it! General Painkillers and Naproxen etc. also don't seem to be great for me and I hate filling myself up with tablets. The CBD oil may be derived from Cannabis but hey! Atleast it's only a plant!! :D
