First period after removing endo ?
Hey, it's perfectly normal.
Your cycles and periods may be all over the place for the first few months after a lap as you've had lots done with removing endo never mind the actual laparoscopy procedure including moving organs around. The uterus doesn't like that sort of thing so kind of goes into shock. It'll be different for each women but it could be any combination of things for the first few months, so may be heavier and earlier lasting say 4 days for cycle 1, and then lighter 6 days for cycle 2, and then normal, 4 days for cycle 3, you get the idea!
It should start to settle into your new normal in about 4 months time which is why specialists will book a follow up at about 4 to 5 months to see how things are.
If you're concerned, then keep an eye on how it's all doing; if your period doesn't stop after 7 days then see your GP, or if it's really just weird!
Hope you're doing okay otherwise x
I had this, I was in so much pain I begged my boyfriend to take me to a&e but I still had codine from after the lap which eventually kicked in. They’ve settled down a bit but after seeing the gynae she’s referred me to an endo specialist and the referral basically says it seems the endo is still active
