Hi people, I have not been able to get much further than the gate at my home since last January. I have organs stuck together, cysts on ovary and utero-sacral ligaments and I am just hoping someone can tell me I will be able to walk again post excision surgery. Has anyone had this? Before I would walk for an hour a day. Now getting upstairs can be a struggle as everything gets stuck and can’t move.
Love in advance x

Hi, yes I used to suffer in pains to the point I couldn't even do small steps. I have cyst in my ovary and behind my uterus which causes meto get flare up of pain every 3months. The only way I get through it and start to walk again is being admitted to hospital and put on oral morphine. I use a lot of hot water bottle and that has helped I havent had a flare up since apirl.
I have 2 big cyst growing rapidly in my left ovary which I am bleeding into, I just had a mri scan and will be having surgery end of the month. but they said my bowel is bent as I have endometrioma in the bowel so need a stoma bag temporarily. My flare up was april where I also suffered a cardiac arrest outside the hospital. It has been an emotional ride this August will be one yr of having endometriosis. Are you with a bsge centre are they going to operate you?
Before my surgery last November I had lost part of the movement in my right leg. It felt tight and weak when I tried to walk. I couldn't pull it to my chest and when I rolled over in bed I had to manually drag that leg!
They found deep infiltrating endometriosis in my uterosacral ligament on that side. Since I had excision surgery I got the range of movement back but I've had to have a lot of physio since then. Obviously mine wasn't cysts but I think it's the involvement of the ligaments that causes the issue. So I'd assume you'll be more mobile after surgery
told me to carry on doing gardening (mostly sitting lol) and modify the yoga I used to do. Both are difficult or not possible most of the time. I think l need a different therapist post op.
I couldn't do Pilates at all before my opp but I'm back to it now. Look for a physio who does sports massage. They are hands on which is great because I was so ceased up I couldn't do much exercise but she's helped get the blood supply back to my muscles. It's like someone doing the workout for you!
