Using crutches to walk due to pain in legs

Hi

I wrote posts before but I kind of want to get my thoughts out due to not speaking a doctor due to Coronavirus. I have 9 years of pain, had MRI, ultrasounds, physio, steroid injections to my nerves and laparoscopy done. So right now I had a MRI in March which said I have 5.2cm cyst on my right ovary. I don’t really get much pain on my ride side or leg. I do have a lot of pain on my left hip, which does down to my knees. I’m at the point where I can’t stand longer than 10 minutes. I can’t walk without limping and when I last when to A&E in February they gave me crutches which has helped a lot but it was tiring getting the tube to work with them and getting stares from people. I want to know if anyone had pain bad enough to use crutches due to ovarian cyst or endo. When I last had my lap done the doctor said I don’t have endo and everything was fine, the lap was done at BSGE hospital. The steroid injections I had done in Harley Street was diagnosed with genitofemoral neuralgia. I would appreciate some advice from anyone that’s been in the same boat of not being listened to. I’m on the waiting list for physio, pain clinic, endo gynaecology department on NHS and I was told that I would be lucky if I get referred this year. This year has taken a big toll on me mentally due my situation as I was going to the gym 5 times a week to now nothing and relying on crutches to walk. It is just tough of taking different painkillers everyday and not being able to get treatment

Have you tried CBD oil? For me it has given me the ability to live life again, after being almost bedridden with pain from my stomach down to my knee on my left side. I could barely walk, but since trying CBD oil I've slowly improved. I still get pain but not nearly as bad. I really recommend giving it a try.

Stay strong!

There is no harm in asking your doctor for them as they shouldn’t refuse your request as it helps a lot with walking. I hope you get better

Yes I have the strongest one that I could get from Holland & Barret, I also got the CBD cream too but I didn’t find it very helpful. Which CBD oil do you use?

I hope you get better!

I have IBS too and I was told that might link with gynae but I don’t know. I hope you get better soon and find an answer. It is just hard that doctors don’t care about you

I'm lucky to have a consultant who was the one who referred me who really listens and tried to help, unfortunately there are rarely much people can do because of my body but they really try. who knows what these people will be like! Because I have had really bad ones too!

Really, I will read your story thanks! I don’t understand why after the lap they said I didn’t have endo and then I get a call saying that my cyst on my right ovary has grown from what they took out from the lap which was normal after the time

Did they say it’s an endometriosis cyst?

Hi, sorry to hear of the pain your in and the frustrations. If the crutches help I’d say uses them, as another lady said stuff everyone else thinks.

I was under gastro for 3 years as one of my main systems at the beginning was diarrhoea but after lots of test I was finally moved over to gyn. My bowel was stuck to my womb.

I wish you luck getting to the right treatment to help you.

Take care.

Hey, was wondering if you decided to use a stick or crutch in the end?

Also, how's your diagnosis journey? Don't be fooled by BSGE! They get stuff wrong too. Xxx
