Incisional hernia

I had a diagnostic lap almost 3 years ago. My belly button is still very sore. I had a CT scan last year and it revealed an incisional hernia.

I was just wondering if anyone gotten a hernia post laparoscopy? Is this common?

Hi there I just stumbled across your post because I'm really panicking because I have a similar thing except it's 10 months after surgery and I'm not sure how long it's been there. But at the weekend I found a hard nodule under the scar from the entry near my pubic bone area.

Did you find out what yours was? was it an incisional hernia?

In my case, it is a hernia inside my belly button.

I would advise you to make an appointment to see your GP. It could be some scarring but best to get it checked out by a professional. If it gets painful, call your out of hours doctor for advice just in case it is a hernia.
