Blood tests

Hello, are there any blood tests Endometreosis sufferers should have particularly to see if we have to much oestrogen In our bodies and to check liver function. I went to my doctor after being diagnosed with chocolate cysts, for a blood test to check everything and I was told I would have to pay! I haven’t had a blood test in years and just want to get everything checked and make sure I am introducing the right things into my diet. Endometreosis is taking away all of my disposable income particularly by eating well, accupunture, supplements etc I don’t know why my doctor won’t provide me with the blood tests needed even if it is only iron, vit d etc. If I do have to pay for a blood test I want to be sure I have the correct ones as my dr won’t give me any guidance. Any advise is greatly appreciated x

If you want to get your hormonal levels checked (how much oestrogen you have and so forth), you need to get oestrogen, progesterone and testosterone levels tested. Some women with endo have high oestrogen, some have low oestrogen and super low progesterone. If I were to advise on what blood exams to take, I'd tell you to get your iron and vitamin D checked and maybe these, but I've never had them tested because no matter the results, nothing will change the hormonal levels other than excision surgery (please seek the help of an experienced endo excision surgeons with extensive experience -at least 8 years of endo surgery- to remove the chocolate cysts and endo. DO NOT LET any other less qualified excision surgeon cut you open) + dietary changes and supplements.
