Endometrioma and surgery

I have a lowish AMH level. I’m due to have surgery for my endometriosis in 4 weeks. I have an endometrioma that my surgeon wants to remove but I’m worried about a decrease in my AMH. Has anyone got any experience of this?

Xx

I had a 4cm endometrioma in one ovary that was excised and a 1cm endometrioma that was drained on the other side. My AMH dropped from 0.47 before the surgery to 0.36 afterwards. I then had 3 months of zoladex treatment before trying IVF. Despite the drop in AMH, my doctors assured me that it was the best chance for conserving my fertility. Unfortunately it didn't work so I am now waiting for an egg donor.
