I was wondering if anyone can speak about their endo post perimenopause? Has it got better or stayed the same?I’m about 18 months into perimenopause (I think), I know everyone is different but hope endo will settle down without resulting to a hysterectomy.
Thanks

Hi, yes, everyone id different. I have a friend who had endo and in perimenopause and the last time she went to the doctor he said she could have a hysterectomy. She went back for her revision and she was very happy because everything was fine and she's not having pain at the moment. She's s only taking a natural supplement to help with hot flashes. So you might stay the same or even get better. Diet is always important at this point of life. No sugar, no dairy, no flour or processed food..
Hello, please can I ask how you’re getting on these days? Can I ask how old you are and how long you’ve had endo? I’m about the same stage of life as you. Are you able to look at my profile and read my posts on symptoms of peri menopause alongside chronic lifelong endometriosis? I’m lined up to see an endo surgeon at Pinderfields endometriosis centre for many many questions.....but I’m so confused about treatment options.
Excision surgery? I’ve had an ectopic, chocolate cysts removed, laser surgery and an ablation.
HRT? Worried that’s theres zero long term research done for endo ladies who take HRT. Doesn’t oestrogen feed endometriosis?
Coil? Never had children. Sounds medieval and there are too many horror stories for my liking.
Hysterectomy? Sometimes doesn’t work for endo sufferers and symptoms can return.
I was REALLY hoping, like REALLY hoping that because my periods are more and more irregular that they might dry up along with my endo and I’d live happily ever after.....but I think I’m in denial. My periods are still EXCRUCIATING and I have new symptoms of buttock pain and pain up my vagina (sorry) and stabbing pains. Dull aches in my flank etc etc. Most of the time I can deal with my pain but I could be another 10 years before my periods disappear. I’m 48. Can you give any advice after you’ve read my profile and posts maybe? Thanks in advance. Nina.
