Laparoscopy appointments

Hi all,

Can anyone let me know how long the wait is on the NHS for a Laparoscopy? l’m due to see my Gynae at the Liverpool Woman’s in July.

Mine is at a private hospital but through the NHS so I am not sure if it is different, but I saw my consultant this week and it's booked for August. I did get offered a cancellation appointment to get it done next week, I would have took it but couldn't, so it may be worth asking if you could be considered for an appointment if some cancels?

I’m Under NHS Wigan. I was scheduled as urgent for surgery in Jan this year. I only had my lap on 28th April and that was a Sunday. They had drafted in an extra surgery day to get on top of the back up. When I spoke to my surgeons secretary, in Feb she said that I she will schedule me a Pre-op so I was covered continually until I was done. I only got a letter for my date 10 days before I went in. Given my diagnosis - I am seriously contemplating private care. As I did get let with Endo to my bowel and bladder. So I suspect it’s something that is going to resurface at some point. I need to look into this - good luck xx

I waited about 9 months but it would have been longer if I hadn’t contacted PALS who found me a cancellation xx

It varies by hospital. My first I waited 2 months and my second 3 months
