I’m struggling with reoccurrence of my endo symptoms after a total hysterectomy and ovaries removed last year. I’m going to see the Consultant who treated me on 25th June but I was just wondering in the meantime if anyone else has experienced this xxx

Reoccurrence after total hyst and ovaries removed
Yes. I had a total hysterectomy at 23 & I’ve had quite a few laser laps since to divide adhesions & laser endo since. I’m 37 now. They don’t like to do more surgery unless very necessary due to the risks of creating more adhesions & perforating the bowel. But if it’s needed , it’s needed.
Hi Janine,
I totally feel for you and hope you get some relief and treatment plan.
Are your symptoms most reminiscent of previous pain?
It took me two years from my complete hysterectomy and BSO to convince the surgeon to go back in when he did, it needed quite a bit of work. I was aware that previous surgeon had told me he hadn’t been able to remove all endo in 2016 . In between having treatment from women’s health physio was also helpful for other associated problems.
Sending love.
Karen
Thank you for your replies, I’m really glad I can see the Consultant soon to discuss it. The pain and symptoms are the same as I struggled with before my surgery. I’ll be upset if it’s back but trying to keep my chin up! Xxx
Yes I did but wasn’t endo back , it was Adhesions & twisting my bowel . I had to bully my consultant to do a lap to see what was going on. Hope you get some relief & answers soon x
I've had a total hysterectomy and endometriosis surgery. 25 yrs later I'm still having terrible vaginal burning after going to the loo for a poo. I've either got adhesions or pudendal nerve entrapment. Very depressed and anxious. Not sure what surgeon to approach for surgery. I live in new zealand, so no pudendal nerve surgeons. At a cross roads. I know my bowel gets stuck to my vaginal wall and it causes terrible pain. On opioids for past 10 yrs but they're not helping much.
