Hi all.

I'm not currently diagnosed with endo but my GP as well as a private specialist I saw strongly suspect it. Anyway. To cut a long story short I've had bladder problems for years. Constant pressure in my bladder, blood in urine, burning sensation. Constant UTIs. When I had a cystoscopy last year they found that my Urethra was narrow. I had what they described as a stricture and some inflammation. They never did anything about it. All they did was arrange a post voiding scan. I saw a Urology nurse in February this year who referred me back to the Consultant. I saw him in May this year. He refused to discuss what they found in the Cystoscopy and any time I tried to address it he just palmed me off and said 'We'll talk about this in a minute'. By the end of the consultation he hadn't discussed anything from the Cystoscopy, and palmed me off with a low dose antibiotic for 2 months to take at night as he thinks that will 'solve all my problems', I'll have a follow up with him this month at some point. Surprise surprise it's not helped. I'm just looking for some advice really. I'm currently in the process of coming off the Depo on the private Gynaes recommendation to see how my body is without BC, I've been on birth control since I was 15, I'm 25 now. I then need to try and get referred to an endo specialist. Anyway. Over the past 5/6 days my bladder symptoms have got worse. Every time I go to the toilet there's like a brown/reddish discharge. I'm also so so itchy and get shooting pains deep inside y'know. I'm in a lot of pain. Should I go back to the GP on Monday?

Thanks in advance

X

Hi there

I just read your post

Firstly that dr was awful. Sounds like some of the nhs drs ive seen. They always seem to busy/uninterested to listen. I dont suffer with any bladder problems but have had friends that have and it turned out to be something they were born with. I got so fed up with going back and forth to useless gps and getting fobbed off. I paid to see a private gyne dr and hes written a nice letter to the gp!. I had a hysteoscopy on wednesday and boy was that painful. Your only young and at the start of your child bearing age so im so hoping for you and all of us suffering that we can find good doctors who will listen.

Best of luck. Xx

The private gynae I saw recently was amazing. So nice and listened to all my concerns and took a genuine interest. He wrote a great letter to my GP and we are now meeting again middle of this month and I'll hopefully be reffered to an endo specialist. Sorry to hear about your hysteroscopy, I had one last year and I was under a general anaesthetic for it. I was in quite a bit of pain afterwards though and ended up catching a pelvic infection. I do hope you're recovering okay and thanks for the kind words. Xx
