Any advice on finding the right pill

Hi girls, I had a diagnosis lap a month ago and they found small traces of endometriosis in my pelvis, I haven’t had my full results back yet but my GP told me the best way I can help is to be on a back to back contraceptive pill so I’m not having as many periods. I’ve been on cilique at the moment and been taking it 3 months back to back then a week break. It has helped with my period pains a little bit but I’m discharging every day really heavily, it doesn’t smell and it’s white but it’s really annoying and I feel really embarrassed all the time about it. Can you girls advice me on any other pills I could take as I’m going to the GP next week to ask to change but he told me before that I’ll have to just try loads of different types of pills til I find the right one but I don’t like the idea of that as worried my hormones will be all over the place so if I could get some idea of ones that have worked for you it might make the trial and error easier!!! Also, I had the lap because I was having severe pain after sex to the point of throwing up and blacking out, I think this has stopped since my lap as they said they scrapped some out, is this why the pain has stopped or is there another reason that would of stopped?

Thanks!

Hey, once you start taking any hormone treatment, it either slows or stops endometriosis growing which then relates to decreased pain. Also surgery can provided relief but along with hormone treatment it can be really helpful.

The only contraceptive pills I’ve been on in the past is the mini pill Cerelle and the combined pill. I was always forgetting to take it so it wasn’t as effective. I’ve also tried Zoladex which is basically menopause, the Depo shot and Provera.

I’ve now come off zoladex which did stop my periods but I couldn’t cope with the menopausal symptoms but my periods have come back more painful, heavier etc.

However my mum has been on cerelle for years and she has no issues, no periods so that could be worth a try if you haven’t already. xxx
