I had 2 x laps for treatment of severe endo in 2013. Since then I've had a baby. My periods returned 6 months ago, after stopping breastfeeding and have been regular and heavier than they used to be, but aren't painful. For the last few months, I've started getting a dull throbbing pain in the groin area during sex, it's where the top of thigh meets the pelvis. The pain happens with every thrust. Could this be endo returning? Anyone else had a similar pain?

My symptoms are not exactly the same as yours but I do get pain during sex (as well as painful periods). The pain is on one side and at my most recent ultrasound I was told my ovary is stuck to my uterus. You may have adhesions or it could be unrelated, but you may be able to ask your doctor to check at your next check up.
Thanks, yes my previous diagnosis was due to a large cyst on my ovary causing dull pain. I'd always had light periods and no period pain so it was a shock to learn during the surgery to have the cyst removed how severe my endo was. This pain is in a different position to my ovary, I think. It seems to be lower down. I also have other pain during sex, what seems like around my cervix. I'm trying to concieve again so am going to get an ultrasound but worried if there is endo it might not show up unless its caused an ovarian cyst.
Update: my endometriosis has indeed returned. The gynaecologist could feel it upon examination and ultrasounds showed various lesions and my ovaries stuck to uterus and right tube to be partially blocked. I'm so surprised how quickly it has returned, I've only had regular periods for 6 months since stopping breastfeeding.
The pain in my groin was put down to endo potentially trapping a nerve.
I've been advised to try IUI for 3 months, then surgery again, if no luck.
