Hello everyone. I want to share with you my experience with mirena coil. I have endometriosis and i was asked on pre-operation consultation for laparoscopic surgery of enfometriosis, if i want mirena coil. It's good way how to stop bleeding so I shouldn't have any pain or problems for few years. I said yes, why not. They inserted mirena while the surgery. After surgery started my living hell. I had horrible cramps strong as contractions, smelly yellowish discharge. I couldn't move, couldn't scream for help. These cramps were sometimes an hour long without break. I went to hospital many times, I can't count it. They told me that my intestines are blocked and that makes me the pain. I was taking cocodamol every day trying to rid of the pain. Nothing helped. I couldn't exercise, walk faster, do anything. The pain got worse so i asked my gp to remove the coil. Unfortunately she couldn't because threads were gone. After 2 months of going to emergency room almost every day, they took it finally out. I experienced huge relief after coil removal and everything got better. another 10 months after removal i went for another pre-operation consultation in private clinic because of second laparoscopic surgery of endometriosis. The doctor was experienced and really good doctor. He found out that i have too little uterus for mirena coil and that's the reason of the horrible pain. I want you to be aware of this, so no other woman will suffer as me.

I'm so sorry you had to go through all that. But I'm glad it was finally removed for you. I also had the Mirena coil inserted since August of last year. I've almost been non-stop spotting the entire time it's ridiculous. I also get these sharp stabbing pains at times. But thank you for being so strong and sharing your story!
I had such a similar experience with the coil! And no one could tell me why I had such a bad reaction to it. I wonder if this could be why! Thank you for sharing.
