Absolutely bricking it

So my lap has been moved again and now confirmed for Tuesday

I’m absolutely bricking it, I’ve had surgery before for my ectopic pregnancy so I kinda have an idea what it’s like

How do you girls calm yourself and get through all of this

Hi there. I had my lap on Thursday and had excision carried out. The build up and the worry is really the worst part so I really feel for you. Think positive thoughts, take lots of rest afterwards, and try to keep calm. Maybe find things to distract yourself until Tuesday - pamper yourself a little bit or treat yourself to a nice meal/ day out. That’s what I did before hand so I had something nice to look forward to right before the operation. I’m recovering well, I’m sure you will be fine, but its normal to feel nervous.

Stock up on peppermint tea/ cordial and sort out your baggy clothes.

I was super nervous leading up to it but once I was in the hospital and ready for my surgery, it wasn’t that scary. I just tried to take deep breaths, have a bath and spent lots of time with my boyfriend in the days leading up to it. Anything that makes you happy or feel calm. I didn’t really sleep the night before because I was worried but everything went amazing. Good luck xx
