Hi- it can be, that was one of only symptoms when I was referred to gynaecologist. It’s best to get it checked out

Yes, I had it all the time until I changed pills. Most of the time it was very light but once it twice it was quite scary. My doctor said it was cervical abrasion due to being on the pill for a very long time. Do get it checked out though!

I will, thank you

Yes and yes! Go see your GP and tell him/her, have you ever had a laparoscopy to determine how bad your endo is?

I haven't, I only started getting symptoms a few months ago. I had always taken birth control and stopped it a few months prior to the symptoms starting.

It all started as painful intercourse, then a constant pelvic pain that no painkillers would touch, I mean the most intense pain that went up as far as my kidneys, I couldn't do anything to ease it.

I have a 21 day cycle which apparently puts me more at risk for endometriosis. I actually notice my pain worse during ovulation. I was sent for an untrasound, it was NORMAL. Had a pelvic abdominal CT scan last October due to issues with my bowel and nothing was detected. I have a constant pain that some days is mild, other days so severe & a tingling down my left leg. Last week I lightly spotted after sex, went back to my doctor, she did a pelvic exam, she said I looked normal but is referring me to gynaecologist now. I've no other types of irregular spotting, I am so unbelievably worried that it's something even more sinister but my doctor had mentioned Endometriosis prior to the post coiltal spotting. I'm just wondering if it's a endometriosis symptom.

No wonder you're so worried, what a wonderful GP you have... not!

So, all of that, to me, points to endometriosis. Almost everything you describe was how I was from the age of 27 to 32 when I finally had my hysterectomy. Do you have any children? I had had two by that time and had always had problems with my periods, right from 11 years old when I first started having them; heavy and very painful, clotting and they came fortnightly. (Which my PE teacher never believed!) After my first baby at 21, they seemed to settle down, but after my second at 27, back with a vengeance. I was back and forth to the doctor, on various tablets and pessaries, you name it (Mefonamic Acid or Ponstan Forte helped me tremendously with pain) until I had had enough and begged for a hysterectomy. It affected my bowel, my bladder, all of my pelvic region and I was bleeding almost constantly in the end; I had my hysterectomy March 11th 1993 and haven't looked back! I only remember the date because it was my eldest daughter's 12th birthday!

Good luck and don't let the medical profession bully you.

Thank you, for the support and advice. Sounds like you went through a horrible time. I hope you are in good health now. I have one boy who's now six. I want to be well and enjoy him

You're very welcome, if you need to know anything, please don't hesitate to ask and I can answer it, I will. As for my health, no, but nothing to do with endometriosis! lol

It's just so scary because I was told endometriosis won't cause post coiltal spotting. So I keep thinking it's something incurable or untreatable. I also have this weird tingling down my leg, and also the pain isnt worse during my period, I think it gets really bad during ovulation. My doctor thinks endometriosis pain would go with bleeding. I'm scared.

I hope you are ok, I think many people suffer from a syndrome of things, I was hospitalised twice in the last year, once for chronic diarrhoea(TMI) and another time for an issue with my heart ( Tachycardia)

I hope you have better health in the future. I'm here if you need to offload x

Hey, I have spotting bright red blood after intercourse and pain painly during ovulation (no problem with my periods). I’ve had multiple ultrasounds / smear test / CA125 blood test / thrush test / std checks etc etc and more doctors have looked at my cervix than i care to remember 😂 And no logical reasons why found.. Doctors suspect endo for me x

Thank you for your reply, It's horrible isn't it. I hope you get your diagnosis and get effective treatment. I think not having answers, the not knowing is really hard.

In my case, it was a cyst on my ovary and endometriosis. It led to my diagnosis.
