It’s getting closer to the date of my surgery and despite the help from everyone on here, I’m finding myself panicking more and more. I’ve not slept more than 6 hours since Sunday night. My symptoms have flared up a lot and I’m just worrying myself silly for no reason

Surgery
Hey, as someone who is scared of hospitals and meddles, the surgery is nothing to worry about. I was made to feel so calm and relaxed by the nurses and anaesthetist as at first I had some questions about being put to sleep.
After a while of waiting, you kind of just want to get it over with in order to get answers plus I was so tired and hungry by the time I went down to theatre.
Make sure you pack a bag to bring to the hospital, lots of entertainment, nightie, dressing gown etc. It can make you feel a little bit more comfy whilst waiting to be called.
Just think, you will finally have answers and use that as motivation. I remember crying afterwards when they said I had endometriosis as I was relieved and knew I wasn’t crazy 😂 xxxx
I am due my first Laparscopy in 10 days and I am feeling exactly the same! I've realised it's totally normal to feel like this, it's not a walk in the park. There are positives to the surgery, after all the anxiety build up about the operation you will get answers you deserve. They will be able to do something to help you. I hope the op goes well xx
