I have just woken up properly from surgery, I’ve been out since 4pm (I think) on and off.
I’m not currently on any painkillers (that I know of) and I feel fine.
My surgery was a bit more complex, because of being diabetic they had be come in the day before. Not going to lie, fasting was AWFUL.
I am currently at the specialist centre in London (UCLH) and had removal of endometriosis, draining of cyst, unbinding of ovaries and bowel. Thankfully I have woken up without a stoma, not sure if I have any bladder stents or both my ovaries yet… the doctor did come round but I barely comprehended his name so he is coming back tomorrow.
So far, despite being sick and pooping in my bed, I’m pretty darn happy 😃

Hey Aardvarks, I hope your recovery and surgery went well. I am also 28 and under UCLH with severe endo. I have had two endo surgeries and they have not been able to remove everything. Now I am due to have my third surgery in a few months as i have nodules on my bowel that may also require a stoma bag. How long did you have to stay in hospital and did you feel that surgery helped your symptoms?
