Internal ultrasound

Hi All

Currently in hospital due to my pain levels going through the roof at the moment they are suspecting I have endo and had an internal scan yesterday and the pain was unbelievable has anyone else had this??

I’m due to get an internal ultrasound in a couple of weeks time and I’m already anticipating being in a lot of pain with it! I find smear tests extremely painful so I’m imagining this will be the same 😭

Most posts that I’ve seen on forums etc have mostly been people just saying they tend to feel some pressure, not pain. I’ve only ever read one or two people saying it was really painful. X

Thanks for the message aww well let’s hope yours is ok I’ve had them before in the past and it just felt like pressure but this one I cried I was in that much pain and scan was clear🙈 x

Oh dear that doesn’t sound like a nice experience 🤦🏼‍♀️ hopefully it was just an off day and won’t become the norm for you if you ever have to get one again! X

I went for this a week weeks back at the start of March, if your having a good day with your endo you don’t feel anything, not gonna lie to you it feels like a dildo haha, nothing to be worried about if your having a bad day with your endo all you feel is pressure. It’s nothing like a smear test at all, if anything it’s a lot nicer than a smear x

Yeah I had a clear scan to, I’ve now been sent for surgery but not sure when it’s taking place

I’ve got surgery booked in very soon but don’t know if it will be sooner as I’m still in hospital x

Yeah I hope they do, it’s so annoying when they can’t find anything it’s like hitting your head against a brick wall x

Yes I had a lap done in 2015 nothing was found and yeh feel like the doctors don’t understand what I’m saying at times x

My surgery is due for a lap for endo what is it like? If you don’t mind me asking x

No I don’t mind at all ask away the actual lap was fine and recovery took me longer as I had complications after but it’s rare they said x

No I am going to the gynaecologist on may 10th to hopefully have them book the surgery x

Oh right yes they say the only way they can see endo is with a lap so fingers crossed for both of us x
