Hi all, I have had my first Prostrap injection 6 days ago for confirmed frozen pelvis, bowel adhered to left tube and extensive on pelvis wall etc. Pains are excruciating today as I was expecting due to reading a surge of hormones before all shuts down. I have always had pain in left kidney area and under left rib for over 3 years now. I had finally persuaded doctor for an ultra sound but there was nothing to see. On this Prostrap the pain in that area is excruciating more so than in the pelvis area. Can the ultrasound miss endometriosis?

Ultrasounds cannot show endometriosis. Only laparoscopy can confirm endometriosis. Have you had any procedures done to help your current known problems? It might be worth looking into a laparoscopy, but that is up to you and your doctor.

Good luck on your journey and I hope things get easier for you x

Hello thank you for your reply. Yes I have had two laparoscopies 3 years apart was diagnosed but both surgeons did not do anything as extensive. I have tried to explain the pain near my kidneys is bad for 3 years now but am told it would not be related to endometriosis, and laparoscopy could not go up that far. urine sample shows blood but clear of infection and ultrasound clear.

That sounds strangely similar to what happened to me.. mine turned out to be my gallbladder though that’s on the right side. Sorry to hear you’re having such a rough time :( I hope you can get answers soon.

Hi. How you feeling today? My stage 4 deep infiltrated endometriosis and full frozen pelvis didn't show up on any of the ultrasound, ct or MRI scan was only found by an endometriosis specialist that was baffled by scans as nothing looked wrong so they aren't reliable. Hope you get some answers soon. Xx
