Cramps when I move
God yeah, stand up like a 90 yr old, ow ow. Night time cant sleep in certain positions, driving is uncomfortable too. Where is ur endo? Mine previously pouch of douglas, now after hysterectomy in ovaries, poss bowel.
Thank you for your reply, I don’t know where I have it yet as I’m waiting for surgery but I do know I have several endometriums and wasn’t sure if this is what was causing my pain. I feel I might also have it in the bowel too. How long have you have it for?
Always had agony every month since starting periods. Only officially diagnosed about 3 yrs ago after a lap. Was so relieved when was told as although its horrible at least you know. Had mri yesterday to see if any bowel adhesions before next surgery to remove ovaries. I am 43 with 2 kids 18 and 22. Just worried about the menopause and hrt now. I have been told after my hysterectomy that I am imagining all this pain, then was told it was a hernia, had op but no hernia was found. Really feel messed around with it all. Hope the mri shows something that can be dealt with. When is your surgery?
Hi I’m 42 with a 18 and 22 year old similar age to you. I don’t have a date yet I was put on the list in January as at first they thought it was cancer as I had a high ca125 so I very very relieved. I really don’t have a clue about what’s going on and how long I will have to wait. Some days the pain isn’t to bad and then other days it’s awful it’s so nice to come on here and speak to people that understand as I don’t want to to bore the people around me. How do you find working? I work full time as a receptionist in the hospital and some days I really struggle, even though people are really understanding I don’t like to take time off.
Oh that must have been an awful scare. I am self employed, I run a shop so there have been occasions when it had to stay closed but most of the time I manage to get cover. Only working a few days a week at the mo, get so tired. Luckily my son helps as he is at college. I find ovulation awful and again when I would have been on. So 2 weeks a month real bad, the rest just cramps and aches. Getting comfy in bed is hard, cant sleep on right side. Just want to feel normal. I do feel people cant understand and you dont want to bang on all the time but its every day and it does get you down especially as we look well on the outside apart from a constant frown lol x
I’ve been told the mirena coil is good for menopause symptoms as I work in sexual health and many of my colleagues use this as they are going through the menopause and they swear by it. I’m currently taking Rigevidon back to back for 2 months then having a period but the period was horrendous last time so I’m going to give the coil ago.
That’s great your son helps bless him.
Do you suffer with your thyroid? I’ve had thyroid problems since I was in my early 20s and I’ve heard it can be connected as I also have a very under active thyroid at the moment so tiredness is a real pain and I’ve started to gain weight.
I did have the coil a long time ago and depo injections. After hyst I dont think there are any options apart from HRt but that means endo can still grow. Dont think any tyroid issues as I cant seem to put weight on. I am 9 st but cant eat big meals as I feel full quite quickly.
I was diagnosed with Graves’ disease which is a autoimmune disease it made me very unwell when I was young and went under 7 stone as my thyroid was overactive so I had treatment to kill off the thyroid, now its under active and I’m just under 10 stone. I think there is a big link between ENDO and thyroid. Maybe get it checked especially if you find it hard to gain weight. But I do understand my stomache feels full so quickly do you find any foods make you worse?
