Post - Laparoscopy & Diagnosis / Diet

Hey all,

I had my laparoscopy on Friday and was diagnosed with having Endometriosis, this wasn't staged but I'm hopeful that it was mild. They removed spots from left and right pelvic side walls as well as over uterosacral ligament - would love to hear from you if you had a similar area removed and swap notes / symptoms.

Feeling a bit sore (stitches & tummy) but other than that, pretty good or maybe just not as bad as I expected! Fortunately no gas pain. I think the biggest struggle is going to be trying to relax / not push myself too hard.

DIET

Interestingly, I had a food intolerance test done back in October and have since cut out intolerances (including Dairy amongst other things) and found an improvement to my symptoms. I spoke with the woman who diagnosed me as wanted to ask if I may find similar benefits if I cut out other known endo diet flares (coffee, red meat, gluten) despite not being intolerant to them, and she said no! As theres no intolerance present, these won't be creating histamine in my body and are unlikely to have an effect on my symptoms. Thought that was really interesting and may also be useful to others interested in endo diet or intolerance testing.

Lastly, any advice / idea on how long I may bleed for post surgery? I think I have also had the mirena fitted.
