Anyone have suggestions? I had a lap to take out/diagnose endo 15 years ago. It helped but then had to have another one a few years later. After one more surgery they decided to do a hysterectomy leaving me with my ovaries. It really helped but now we are 6 years later and I am doubled over in pain. Went to the Dr who did my hysterectomy and she basically said she does not do anything for my case other than try a BC for a year and see how it goes. Also she said she does not do surgery any longer. I am seeing a specialist on Thursday so I hope they will really listen to me.

Endo pain 6 years after hysterectomy... all over again
Good luck with appointment tomorrow. I had a total hysterectomy in December 2018 and the doctor said it was best to take the ovaries out too to ensure any remaining patches of endo do not grow/stay active. They excised a lot durin* 5he same op, but he said there was always a chance of recurring symptoms without removal of ovaries. Maybe you can ask what they think about this for you, if you are open to the idea. Hope all goes well.
Actually I would like another lap. I know people are scared of it but after all my pain... and from my 4-5 surgeries lap was the only thing that actually helped. I would love to hear tomorrow that she had another option but if not I will push for surgery. It is sad to say but that is the only thing that helped. Thank you so much for your support
Just got home. She is soo knowledgeable! Doing an ultrasound in a couple weeks and she is sending me to a pt for pelvic floor muscles being too tight to have a base line of what is going on. She said I could have a combo of both endometriosis and the muscles. NEVER heard of that before... But I will try almost anything to help with the pain. Thanks for your support!
