Hi I had my first Injection in stomach on Monday and not sure if the discomfort in my stomach is normal or not. Can’t wear any waistbands or bend as it’s sharp pain. Does this decrease? And what’s the difference to stomach injections and bottom injections.
Thanks.

Hi, not sure what a Gunther injection is? But if it’s similar to the Zoladex injection (which is done on the tummy and inserts a little thing under the skin) then yes, it can be painful afterwards.
I normally have a local anaesthetic first because the injection itself hurts me, and afterwards it can be painful for a day or two.
Just look out for signs of infection, like redness, itching or any discharge from the area, and go back to your GP if there is anything like that.
Hi gnrh injection. Not Gunther. It changed on my phone. I am still sore after 6 days, what’s the difference between the Zoladex injection and the one that’s goes in your bum. Unsure why my consultant has chosen the stomach version.
I see! I’ve just found a website by googling ‘gnrh injection bottom’ and went into the top option at endometriosis dot org. It lists the different injections and how they’re administered. I don’t know why the dr would choose one over the other, I guess you’d need to ask them!
