Does prostap make Endo vanish - please read.

I have been in prostap for 6 months and it has helped 100%, my periods stopped and no pain at all. My periods have not yet started back because the prostap is probably still in my system (last injection ran out oct) I'm worried that the laparoscopy will not find anything before my periods are back?? This may sound stupid. My lap in in 5 days.

Hey, my understanding is that prostap shrinks endo deposits. I had prostap after my surgery and my periods didn’t come back for 7 months ! Good luck with your surgery, hope things go well for u x

The surgeon told me that I couldn’t have the next lap for 6-9 months after last injection as he wouldn’t see much apparently. Surprised they are operating so soon after last injection. If they are aware of this then fine but if not I would prob contact them and see if it should be moved further along. You don’t want them going in and not finding much x

I was on Zoladex (similar to Prostap) for 6 months before complex laparoscopy (I have stage 4 deep infiltrated endo with frozen pelvis), my consultant didn't prescribe me injection for the month of my laparoscopy. I think there was only about 6 weeks between my last injection and my laparoscopy, so only about 2 weeks of no Zoladex. My surgery went fine, but then I had ALOT of endo and the consultant said surgery and recovery would have been much harder without Zoladex.

If you're really worried, you can always call up and ask. I've called up my consultant's secretary and asked questions quite a few times. They usually get back to you in a day or two.
