Hi Tinkerbell yah I am on the cancellation list, think I have done everything that I possibly can so the waiting is the worst part. They shouldn’t say a timescale if they can’t keep to it x
Keep ringing (politely)! If you're on the urgent list, then they will have a target that's something like 12 weeks as a maximum wait, and if it's already 'urgent' I don't think your GP writing will do anything to speed it up. Being willing to take a date at very short notice is your best chance of it happening sooner rather than later. How much notice have you said you need? If you've said one week then you probably won't get any more notice than that. Best wishes xx
Thanks for replying, I didn’t give a notice period, only said to contact me if there is a cancellation not that I really want surgery as I am nervous about it but it needs done 😞
Gotcha. It's possible that whenever you do have a pre-op they will ask you about your availability and what kind of notice you need at that stage. Hang in there, you are stronger than you think. I know it's not easy, all of the uncertainty. xx
I had my gynae appointment in feb, I got my pre op in July and I had my lap yesterday! It felt like such a long process, I hope you get some answers soon x
