Endometriosis near bowels

Hi Emily,
I had my first one last week too. I found gentle walking, slow arm swings and shoulder stretches allowed the gas bubbles to move their way quicker through my body. The nurses also gave me endless teapots of peppermint tea which did help too. You will feel better soon. Good luck.
Have you tried gentle swimming? I had problems with my shoulder and after a couple of trips to the pool it completely went away. Just a thought.
They pump your belly full of Co2 gas so they can see. It can cause a lot of shoulder tip pain. Gentle walking, keep hydrated so you don’t get constipated and suck on peppermints. It can take up to a week to ease so don’t panic. Best wishes x
Sorry to hear you have been diagnosed but I hope it has been in some ways a comfort to have a reason (like it was for me). I had my lap 10 days ago and am still bloated but the pain has gone. Try and rest as much as you can. Drink hot drinks peppermint tea or even just normal tea or hot water. Sleeping on your left side helps. Walk about in short bursts. I weirdly found rubbing my stomach was comforting and helped push some of the gas out. I know mine still hasn’t gone yet but I had my stitches out on Thursday (day 7 of recovery) and the nurse was saying how well I was doing so try and remember it might take a while and not to beat yourself up about the gas not going! Xx
Thankyou so much it means a lot! Just get up of lounging around now and feeling bloated xx
