Every bone in my body hurts. From my shoulders down to my ankles, it feels like I’ve been working out non stop (I haven’t)
Is this normal? ( I’m on decepeptyl injection and taking tivilone) or should I get it checked out?
I was aching so much the other day I lay ina hot bath for an hour.. this did ease it. But it just feels so odd, that even getting up from sitting is hurting me. I’ve never felt like this before and it’s worrying me. I especially get pain in my right leg, searing at times and my hands sometimes go numb at night.
I’m waiting for a total hysterectomy and the injection has eased my normal pains but now this. I should say I’m in my second round of three month injections, my next ones due next month. I’m not sure I’m gonna have it, I’ve also put in two stone.
I know I’ve said all this before , but it’s really getting to me now.

Hi, I'm the same I have pains everywhere arms legs hips, and back, I'm on the same meds as you but don't think it's that causing your symptoms it has to be the endro, my jab don't stop my pain I have it everyday but it's stopping the bleeding which is a god send. Hope this helps a little, and good luck xx
I had joint pains from taking Prostab too. I was on Prostab for 2 years! I was given a HRT but still had pains. The pains have almost gone now. It's been over a year I had the last Prostab and an excision surgery. I am 30 years old by the way. x
Decapeptyl is a GnRH Analogue and can have an impact upon bone health (this includes a reduction in bone density and causing bone pain).
These side effects are associated with the hypoestrogenjc (oestrogen deficient) state Decapeptyl puts your body in, so it may be that you need a tiny more HRT to preserve your bone health while undergoing treatment.
I’d get in touch with your prescribing specialist and/or your GP to have a chat about it. You can access the drug manufacturer’s detailed Summary of Product Characteristics (a more detailed version of the Patient Information Leaflet) detailing potential side effects here:
I find it can be helpful to print a copy off and have it with you when you chat to your specialist / GP as it allows you to refer them to the relevant sections of the manufacturer’s advice on how to monitor/manage such side effects in order to allow patients to get the best out of their treatment.
I'm not on those meds and every now and then I get the pains you describe, getting up from sitting and general pains in my BONES - doesn't even feel endo related but I'm sure it is. It kind of feels like growing pains in my limbs, but especially lower back and where it joins the legs. I don't have anything constructive to say other than I get them too!
