I saw my gynaecologist today who has agreed that my best course of treatment would be to have a full laproscopic hysterectomy carried out. He has said that I won't see him again and he will have an urgent referral made to a colleague for counseling prior to the surgery. Can anyone tell me if this is normal? I'm 32 have endometriosis, have refused another laproscopy and removal and just asked for the hysterectomy. He made it sound like it was a tick box exercise but someone else has said they hadn't heard of this. I was there when he made the referral and he said that he was closing my case with himself in it.
