Can pain in pelvic area and pulling sensation in ovaries when coughing be related to endo? I’m still waiting for my lap which is in October I have suspected endo.. just interested in this horrible pain down below when I cough?

When I was first diagnosed 7 years ago, this was exactly what I had! And also if I laughed. I literally would have to hold my stomach if I coughed or laughed. It was so painful. A laparoscopy got rid of the Endo

in that area and I was pain free for

6 years but now I think it’s reared it’s ugly head in my pelvic area.

Hopefully the lap in October will sort out the pain for you xx

Hi thanks so much for writing to me, means allot. I have been up and down with pain and complications for so many years.. just to see a gynaecologist I was on a waiting list for two years here in Ireland, awful as I’ve been back and forth in agony, trying pull after pill.. any way I’m so nervous for my lap I’m worried they will say I have nothing there and people will think I’m mad, I know my self I know it’s not normal to be in this amount of pain, this is a new thing when I cough not all the time only occasional I feel a tugging and it’s uncomfortable and hurts, I’m relieved to hear you were looked after and became pain free, I hope you can get checked out again and be rid of it for another little while I know it had a tendency to return. Good luck and thank you for your kindness x

It took me four times to get a doctor to listen to the first time around. Each one kept saying it was a pulled muscle etc etc. It’s so frustrating!! Thankfully I then had a lovely doctor who instantly said she thought I had endometriosis and got a lap booked for me. Don’t ever think you’re being silly or imagining the pain and don’t let anyone else tell you otherwise. You know your body and the pain you’re experiencing. When I had my lap the gynaecologist said they found a very small amount of Endo and he was shocked at the amount of pain I was in just from that little bit. Even then I was made to feel a bit silly. Please let me know how you get on. Honestly you’ll be fine and hopefully the lap will really help ease the pain for you xxx

Hey this was my number 1 symptom earlier this year which led to me having my lap and being diagnosed with endo... the pulling pain I felt was on my right, near my right hip.. it turned out I had a 5cm cyst on my right ovary! Have you had an ultrasound recently? Your pain sounds the same as mine. Hurts more when I coughed or sneezed or lifted heavy objects xx

Hey! thank you for writing to me and sharing your story sounds very Alike, I’m sorry to hear about that did they do an op to remove it? I did have an ultrasound and transvaginal ultrasound couple months ago they said it was ok nothing showing up this is the only thing left for them to do. it’s been a long process finally getting to this laparoscopy and like I said above I am nervous about it.. just hope it’s not in my head, yeh I tend to get it occasional when I’m coughing a lot like when I’m sick and it’s a deep cough if you know what I mean I get a tug which makes me jump and when I’m in the gym sometimes lifting heavy weights can’t say I’ve got it sneezing, thank god because I sneeze a lot lol, how are you now after lap? Xx

I had my lap in May and they removed the cyst and as much of the endo as they could! The rest of summer I was almost pain free but it seems like the pain has come back so I’m having more tests 🙁 (cytoscopy, hysterscopy, endometrial biopsy & polypoctomy).

It’s so wrong but I think almost every woman on here felt like it was in their head at some point. Multiple doctors and consultants never believed me and gave me random and wrong diagnosis’ (possible STI, sprained hip?! Appendicitis, UTI with multiple antibiotics, and being told I’m over thinking the pain and beginning to make it up in my head) until I woke up from the surgery and they said they couldn’t believe how much I had! Just stay strong. Listen to your body! If you’re in pain, then you’re in pain!

How long until your lap? The surgery isn’t so bad. I was sore when I went home from the gas but I was so happy to know it wasn’t in my head! It explained so much and many symptoms I’ve suffered with since being a teenager! Try get hold of peppermint capsules and peppermint tea and start on them pretty much as soon as you wake up... they help with the gas pain in your chest from the surgery which was the only painful part for me. I think they make you burp the gas out 😂 So if you can start on them as soon as you’re awake. Message me if you ever need anything xxx

Hey sorry only seeing this now..I’m so sorry to hear about your suffering it is mad to think there is so many of us that have this in common, sucks to hear your pain has returned too! Hope after some more testing you get the answers and treatment your looking for.. I know it’s been so long and hard trying to work out what’s wrong with me being told it’s normal sucks! It’s not normal.. it has effected my whole life drastically, yes have had some similar diagnosis to those so happy to be getting the lap now I need answers, my lap is on Tuesday I’m nervous, yeh I’ve stocked up on the peppermint tea and will get charcoal tablets this weekend and some night dresses..? I’m concerned how long I will need out of work as I am a care assistant in a nursing home and it is heavy duty.. I will just listen to the doctor and see what they say I suppose.. thanks again for your message xx
