Feeling down. Includes tmi.

Hi

It's been a couple of years since I signed up and posted to say hi. My endo has rumbled along some good some bad for a number of years. I'm into year 3 of decapeptyl back to back every 12 weeks with hrt add back and the pill for contraception. Along the way I've become allergic to most pain killers so am now on regular Nefopam as the only thing that helps without making me so tired I can't work.

I though all was settled but now I'm mid flare. I don't get to see my oh much let alone spend a night together, we spent the night together on Thursday and well you know. It was painful and I bled a little after. This is the first time ever and now I'm scared. Is that endo playing up or something else. I've been in constant pain since and my bladder pain is back (endo stuck my bladder to my stomach wall).

I feel so down now want to curl up and cry, my oh knows it hurt he's now feeling like it's his fault and he's now got thrush. I feel guilty for that but keeps saying it's not my fault. Google doesn't put my mind at rest for that, I've not got it. Sort of wish I had to make him not feel so guilty.

Sorry for the feeling sorry for myself post x

Hello, I am new here and haven't officially been diagnosed yet. After numerous hospital trips for stomach pain/bladder issues, I was told by a Gynae that it is probably endometriosis.

I am sorry to hear that you have been struggling so much. I haven't got much advice as I am still learning myself however I just wanted to tell you that for quite a number of months now I have been giving my oh thrush. I myself can have no signs or symptoms of it at all yet he still gets it frequently. I am not sure why this is and didn't think there was any connection until now.

I am prone to thrush as I am very sensitive to bath products and washing powder, I have to be very careful.

Anyway, I hope things improve for you soon and I hope you know that you are not alone.

X

I am so sorry you are going through all this and feeling so down hon, I hope you feel better soon. From what I know, bleeding after sex if you have endometriosis is not unheard of, many women do bleed so please don't over-research or over-analyse it. Do see your doctor if it happens again or if you continue to have pain, but please do not attempt to self-diagnose yourself using google. That will quite literally drive you insane, I have learnt it the very hard way. Both you and your guy need to treat yourself more kindly. It is not his fault that you are in pain, it is this stupid disease, and it is not fault that he got thrush. You really don't need to make yourself more miserable than you already are by feeling guilty. Please take care of yourself xxx

Hello! I'm also new and not yet diagnosed but I've also experienced painful sex and bleeding after for the first time with my husband of 5 years (together 13 years) so safe to say we know each others bodies well and very close. I feel for you because my husband also feels incredibly guilty for unintentionally hurting me. We are now steering clear of penetrative intercourse and instead finding other ways to be close. Your other half sounds incredibly caring and understands, so you need to believe him when he tells you it's not your fault, because it's out of your control lovely. I also feel you with the low mood, it's almost as bad as the pain. I try to remember that it's not mens my fault, it's the endometriosis doing this to me. I hope you get to see a specialist soon so that you can put your mind at rest.

All of the above. Talk to him.... It's happened to us too. He may be feeling guilty for making you feel rubbish too. Just be honest Hun xxx
