So I had my lap with excision of endo on the bowel a month ago, this is my second lap so I knew what to expect with pain, symptoms etc, or I thought I did.
I've been back at work for two days and I'm already feeling completely wiped out, like I just need more rest and recovery. Anyone else felt this way a month after? I expected it during the few weeks at home, but not now, last time I bounced back quicker.
Help, any advice? Should I talk to my GP? I feel silly just saying I'm tired. I mean I sleep as normal, everything else is okay, I just feel and look sooo drained, is this still my body recovering? Do I need a bit more time off?

Listen to you body. I would definitely go back to your gp and rest. It can take 12 weeks to heal internally from surgery and a science trained friend says the GA drug effects alone take a month per hour under to recover from .
I was off months after my surgery and still definitely went back too soon. I have now developed fullblown ME from pushing myself too hard too soon because I thought I should be better by now and carried on when really I shouldn't have. You can do yourself significant harm not stopping when your body tells you too.
I have booked an appt with my GP for later today, it's at the end of work. I will explain how I'm feeling. My second period after the op is due to start and that probably isn't helping, and considering how the first one felt I'm starting to feel the same way so yeah I probably need a bit more time off.
