Surgicel Hemastat - anyone had this?

Finally got my notes back from my consultant after my laparoscopy/laparotomy back in June. (With Photos! Urgh) My bowel was stuck to my uterus wall, and both ovaries tethered by adhesions behind my uterus (kissing ovaries) as well as a cyst on my right ovary. Unfortunately It went a bit wrong as there was some bleeding they couldn’t stop so I was opened up (laparotomy) to stitch the bleed below my right ovary. I’ve just read that ‘surgicel was put into the pouch of Douglas and at the back of the uterus’. After googling it, it’s a woven cellulose sheet surgeons place over areas of tissue to achieve hemostasis (stop the bleeding). The body then absorbs it when healing. Has anyone else had this? Does it affect the rate of return of endo at all? Just curious. x
