Hi Everyone,
I wanted to ask everyone is there something I should be doing when I go to my next appointment.
I’ve always suffered from heavy, painful periods since I was 11 causing me to miss school and then later on work. As I got older I went on the pill and then had the implant which I found did not agree with me. As I got older the pain got harder to tolerate and I had been sent to A&E on several occasions. I would receive pain relief and have an ultrasound which said thee wasn’t anything wrong. After going to my GP they finally agreed to refer me to a Gynaecologist for further investigations. However as I was so ill, in 2016 my father paid for an ultrasound and laparoscopy privately. The consultant confirmed PCOS and endometriosis which was removed. I also had the coil fitted. Since then have still had intermittent pain and swelling around my lower abdominal area. I do not have periods anymore but feel like I could start them everyday. I have gone back to the NHS as I can not afford to be treated privately. I have seen a different consultant each time and made to feel that I was wasting their time as the laparoscopy didn’t work (in their eyes) I had 4 months injections after having a nervous breakdown at an apt which helped so much. When I went back in March this year they told me I couldn’t have anymore and told me to get pregnant! I’m 31 and due to other health conditions that isn’t a viable option at present. I’m due to go back next month but feel dejected and need an idea of what to say to be helped. Is there any other options I could request?
