I am new to the site but unfortunately not the pain of endo! I have endometriosis and adonyosis and was started on Zoladex monthly injections Tuesday, and hrt.
Each day I wake up with something else wrong, I am extremely bloated to the point my belly button is popping out, the bleeding has finally slowed down but I am suffering with headaches, sickness, pain in both legs and shivers, I feel extremely unwell so a little concerned, can anybody shed some light? Should I be worried? I have been started on anti biotics for suspected kidney infection but seems sus this all happens days after my first injection?
Thank you in advance

I must admit each injection makes me feel unwell but you do sounds unwell. It does sound close to the injection but if the site looks ok I would be surprised some of your symptoms are that.
I get headaches, nausea, sporadic bleeding when I have them.
If your on antibiotics I would let them kick in they can take up to 72hrs.
It sounds like your are getting side effects of the zoladex which in my experience reduced after each injection - I’m on injection 7. But I do wonder if you’ve been unlucky & got an infection st the same time.
I hope it all settles soon xx
Your body is very weak and will be suseptable to infections.
Just a coincidence that it happened when you had the zoladex.
Stick with the treatment and look at your diet, remove processed foods and too much sugar and eat plenty of fruit and veg.
Long sleeps and relaxation time are a good idea too.
Also, if your drink a lot of water it will help with the infection.
Your skin will love all the water!
I usually drink at least 3 pints per day.
Hope this helps.
Also peppermint oil in a capsule is excellent for bloating.
Sorry to hear that hope you will be well very soon.
Regarding the Zoladex, my wife is taking it now since 1 yr and she has same side effects like you.
Some of above side effects such as unwell sleeping, pain in your leg, headache, fatigue, and change in your belly, are all because of the Zoladex and that's normal ( but better if you mention that to your doctor)
So don't worry
Please for any enquiry, don't hesitate to contact me.
You poor thing it does sound like an nasty infection in your urinary tract (kidneys, bladder etc). If you get worse go to A&E. It sounds like you’ve had 2 things together so no wonder you feel rubbish. Hope you get better soon xx
