I just had my surgery done about 2 1/2 weeks ago, and I’m curious on if anyone experienced a heavy period along with blood clots? I don’t see my doctor until a couple more days, so i’m just wondering. I’m in pain and definitely uncomfortable! I’m using a pad of course because tampons aren’t aloud. I’ve been on my period for 4 days now and I’m still passing blood clots? How come?

Only 18 with stage 5 endo!
Yes yes Yes! As I was about to check out after surgery I passed a chicken fillet sized clot in the hospital en suit. Had to show a nurse who showed the Dr who (how bloody embarrasing) showed my surgical consultant who said with what came away from me it was perfectly normal, he wasn't concerned. If I started to feel faint dizzy unwell etc, come back to hospital he trusted I would know the signs that all wasn't right.
I bled for 2 weeks solid and the 1st week was like a heavy period.
I was in bed recovering mostly and took multivitamins with iron, peppermint tea, Ducolax to held with the bowel etc.
Hope this helps.

It's sad for a youngster like you to have such heavy endometriosis sorry I had to read this again to confirm you said 18...bless you poor wee pet. It's all the excising the blood vessels and adhesions and affected tissues coming away. Again, if you feel unwell like unbalanced dizzy faint etc then contact the Drs but if you feel you are too heavily flirting like the pieces are more then a few cm's at day 5 like larger than a 50p piece maybe go in anyways for a check up.
I took it as the more came away the better as potentially it housed endometrial cells. Cells be gone!
Helly.
