Hi I have had symptoms when I have not been on my period. Last year I needed a full hysterectomy as the endo has totally damaged my womb but am back in hospital came in with severe pain and had surgery few days ago and once again had loads of endo even though I don’t have periods after having hysterectomy over a year ago been suffering in pain almost every day for last 6 months.

Hi, I always had pain from about day 7 right up to day 15/16, ended up with a large chocolate cyst. It is common with endometriosis to have pain around ovulation!

Hi, before my first laparoscopy the pain was always worse as my period was coming to an end and in the days after. Especially on my left side. I couldn’t understand why this was and doctors didn’t seem to be able to explain why either. During my surgery, where extensive endo was found, they also removed a 6cm enfometrioma (or chocolate cyst) and after that the pain disappeared for a while. I now put it down to the fact that the cyst was filling up with blood all the time and getting bigger with every period (the blood that wasn’t escaping) but I’m no medical professional so I can’t be sure! My periods had got lighter though so I can’t help thinking the blood was going that way instead of coming out. Definitely mention it to your doctor x

I’ve had severe pain since 7th/8th July, I haven’t officially been diagnosed with Endo yet but it’s under investigation, never ever suffered with heavy periods and came on yesterday (1st period since pain started) and it’s a lot heavier than it used to be, although today the pain seems to of eased off it’s still there but definitely not as bad as it has been to the point I could hardly walk, I have got blood tests booked for 20th August and awaiting an ultrasound, will the ultrasound pick up Endo? X

I get paid about 25 days out of 31... it used to just be when I ovulated and then during first 3 days of period but about 3 months ago I went through some pretty bad stress and after the next period it pretty much didn’t go away

mine also seems to be worse right after my period
