Hi

I have had my hysterectomy 7 weeks ago and was told I could have sex at 6 weeks we tried and I was in pain straight way and ended up with infection. When did you start having sex, I am sorry to here you are bleeding. Have you contacted your gynacology or GP about this? I am scared to try and have sex as I really don't want to go through that pain again........ maybe having sex at 6 weeks was to early

Thanks

Justine

Bleeding from the genital tract is a frequent phenomenon after hysteroscopy - it should not be too abundant and persist for a few days after the procedure. There are also abdominal pain, which slowly disappear. There is no reason to worry, but please keep a life-saving lifestyle and avoid lifting. A few days after the procedure, you can return to professional activity. However, if the bleeding persists longer and the lower abdominal pain intensifies, please go to the doctor immediately
